Ian has come forward with a suggestion that we run a trip to the Forest of Dean this year over the weekend of 4th &5th September.
Current costs are £76 per room based on 2 people sharing per night, Bed and Breakfast.
The evening meals are extra but I intend for the Saturday night for us all to sit down together in the meeting room in the hotel and will discuss the cost for this with them next week.
The trip could be leaving the full moon on Friday morning at 11 o’clock travelling via Oxford on the A40 to Nortleach to stop for a coffee, onto the Forest arriving about 3 o’clock. Everyone free in the evening.
Saturday, we will have an organised run around the Forest taking in places of interest such as Clearwell Caves or the Dean Forest Railway where we can stop for lunch. After lunch we could continue the tour around the forest.
The evening meal we could have together and have a Quiz with prizes.
On Sunday we would leave at about 11 and stop on the way back at Northleach again or maybe another stop which I haven’t investigated yet.
Please let Ian know at Club night if you would be interested in coming on this trip or contact the section secretary.
A good section of bikes for the start of the October midweek run
Nunbers had thinned out by the time we returned to Wilstone, but we gained a couple on route
At clubnight Richard brought his BSA engine, but this one is slightly different.

The section secretary has an emergency contact list, this is not for publication, but, if you wish to give the name of your emergency contact and phone number he can add it to the list for use in an emergency.

Sadly it appears that a number of members (and members of other related clubs) have been sent e mails claiming to be from a club member, requesting help. If you get one of these e mails, delete it, report it, but do not open or respond to it. If you are concerned as to the health of a mate ring him, ring me, and I will ring him, but don't be conned by fake e mails. Do not send money.
