The route has been carfully researched, there are potholes between Cholesbury and Studham at 10 yard intervals. They are sometimes marked with blue paint, yellow paint or full of water. The rest of the route has an uneven surface where repairs have been carried out or is marked by failed road surface signs.

2025 run leader’s and committee members wanted.

I am still short of run leaders and planners for 2025. There are now several committee vacancies, if you feel you can add to the running of the section please speak to Richard or Phil.

If you wish to lead a run, have a place you want to visit, or wish to help with the running of club events let me know. Remember, run leading is not that difficult, you would need to be able to let the secretary know where you want to go and check the route before the event.

Winter wanderings have not run for the last few years, anyone brave enough? Let me know.

The section 2025 calendar is now on the news page.

Banbury Run Help Wanted

Gary Sleeman (Area Rep for Anglia and South Lincs & Peterborough member) has taken on the role as Breakdown co-ordinator for The Banbury Run on Sunday 8th June, 2025. I am asking for volunteers to go out and collect those unfortunate members that suffer breakdowns out on the run (as allocated by Gary who will control the recovery squads). So, I am asking for people and vehicles (vans/flat beds or cars and trailers).

The squad members (up to two per vehicle) will be given an entry passes for the event, (so time to look around and go to the Autojumble before the first bike leaves at 10am) and travel expenses for their collection trips.

In the past the question of insurance has been brought up. Gary and I have checked with Peter Siggins (Director for Insurance):
Volunteers' vehicles will be driven under their own insurance.
Machines been recovered are covered by the club's own insurance (as they are when recovered on section runs).

Please let those in your sections know about this request. Anyone willing to volunteer please drop me an e-mail/call me and I will get you in contact with Gary.

Fake e mails again

Sadly it appears that a number of members (and members of other related clubs) have been sent e mails claiming to be from a club member, requesting help. If you get one of these e mails, delete it, report it, but do not open or respond to it. If you are concerned as to the health of a mate ring him, ring me, and I will ring him, but don't be conned by fake e mails. Do not send money.
